Founder & High School Math Educator
Welcome to Chen Math Academy. I have over 20 years of experience teaching high school math, including Algebra 1 through AP Calculus BC. I have also served as a summer accelerated math teacher and a mentor for new high school math teachers.
I have coached math competition teams, with my students earning strong results in national competitions. Throughout my teaching career, I have always focused on helping students build a solid foundation and truly understand mathematical concepts.
Many of my students have gone on to attend top universities such as Harvard, Caltech, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. Through this website, I hope to help more students learn math with confidence and discover how mathematical thinking applies to school, careers, and everyday life.
Whether you’re strengthening your foundations, tackling a challenging class, or preparing for your next academic adventure, we’ll take math one step at a time. Explore the lessons, practice at your own pace, and remember: questions and mistakes are part of learning.
Students and families from around the world are welcome. Wherever you’re starting, I’m here to help you build understanding and confidence.
We’re also proud to celebrate students who have earned admission to Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Chicago, New York University, and many other top colleges. Their hard work and perseverance deserve recognition—and we’re equally proud of every student who gains confidence, overcomes a challenge, or reaches a personal goal.

If a lesson helped you, we would love to share your words here — with your permission, and in your own words. The graduates above are former students now studying at top universities around the world.
Every path starts with a free diagnostic, then takes you through lessons, practice, and a timed check — in order. Tick steps off as you go; your progress is saved in your own browser, no account needed.
Course lessons, guided practice, and a full timed AB/BC mock.
Start the Calculus BC path →Lessons, word problems and graphing, then an SAT/ACT readiness check.
Start the Algebra II path →Platforms are excellent for drilling. They cannot watch you solve a problem, catch the exact step where your thinking went wrong, or change the plan when you stall. Lessons add live feedback, homework review, a plan built around your diagnostic, and contest strategy coaching. See the comparison →
